GIGA was formed in 1999 by Andre America, the current president as he sought out a number of digital companies to form a new organization with the objectives as stated above. In several years the organization has grown to the point it now boast members in five continents. The organization includes leading members of the digital imaging community from around the world with a wide range of expertise and interests.
